About

To be quite honest, I’ll never understand how I earned an association with the fashion blogging community - but I’m forever grateful to have been embraced.  While I sometimes talk about material items that I’m coveting (blame it on my background in high-end retail & marketing), ‘city chic’ has evolved into more of a lifestyle blog where I share my adventures, inspirations and photographs.

I’ve been a creator for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first song at nine (it wasn’t very good!) and taught myself HTML by 12 with hopes of creating my own website (gURLpages were really cool in ‘97). Since then, I’ve grown into a person who can’t go a day without scribbling down thoughts and prose, crafting melodies, taking photos or trying out new technologies.  Lucky for me, I get to help build and share something creative and innovative everyday as Community Manager of SkinnyScoop

My favorite quote is “If you don’t risk anything, you risk more”, which I once saw scrawled on a bathroom wall inside a very classy martini bar. I’ve never forgotten it, and embrace it fully everyday. I’m a big ‘life-liver’ - meaning I feel a constant need to grow, push myself and see things that other people are content to only hear or dream about. I missed my college graduation because I was on a flight to Africa; I quit my job in business sales in a recession because I wasn’t happy - despite the the fact that everyone thought I was completely crazy for doing so. Shortly thereafter, I packed my car and drove from the New England coast to California, where the waves are big and the sun is (almost) always shining.

I haven’t looked back since.

Something to say? Get in touch - I’d love to hear from you!
